Tips for Flipping In Class....

Provide students with many in-class, low-stakes quiz opportunities. I used Quizlet and created review games for students.

Have students write their own questions.

Use in-class questions to help promote high-order thinking skills.  At the beginning of each class we had a pow-wow session where students could ask question.  I also answered their questions back with questions such as Why do you think that?, What evidence did you find to support your findings?, and etc.…

Let students give some of the instructions.  Peer instruction can be a very powerful tool.

Profession Development:

I learned about the tools I used in my classroom from attending or watching prerecorded webinars through SimpleK12.  I also found several resources via their shared resources and online discussion boards.
