Weebly For Education

Getting Started:

  • Go to Weebly for Education.
  • If you do not have an account you will need to create one.  (I sign in via Facebook.)
  • Remember to write your username and password down.

Setting Up a Site:

  • On your Dashboard click the button "Add Site" or "Create Site".
  • Name your site.
  • Assign your site to a Type.  (personal, education, etc...)
  • Assign your site to a Category. (classroom, teacher, etc...)
  • Create your URL address.  Mine is mrswilsonclasses.weebly.com

Personalize Your Site:

  • Click on the "Design" Tab.
  • Pick a Theme you like.  You can always change it.
  • Click on the "Elements".
  • All you have to do is drag and drop the elements you want to use on your page.  For example if you want a Title drag and drop the Title Element on to the page.  To edit the title just click on it and start typing.
  • If you have an embed code for example for your classroom Google calendar you will want to use the Custom HTML element and paste the code in it.

Adding Pages:

  • To add pages click on the tab "Pages".
  • Click on the button "Add Page".
  • Name your page.
  • You can drag and rearrange the order of your pages.  You can even have sub-pages.

Publishing Your Site:

  • When you are ready for the world to see your site you will need to publish it.
  • Click the "Publish" button at the top right hand corner of your screen.
  • Then click the "Continue" button.
  • Now you can share your site.  You can even share your site on Facebook or Twitter.
  • When you make changes to your site don't forget to re-publish it.

  • If you create a classroom website don't forget to have it posted with your Teacher Bio on the school's website.  Having your classroom website posted will make it
